A series of three illustrations for the Courage & Strength issue of Beneficial Shock! magazine.
The text by Jez Conolly discusses experiences of playing ‘War’ as a child in the 1970s and then goes on to discuss the varied roles that cowards play in cinema. These include the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz (1939), Isaac Davis in Manhattan (1979), Major Alan Schaefer in Predator (1987) and Donald Gennaro in Jurassic Park (1993). I created three interconnected narratives with many details to discover, including disparate, surreal and comical scenes.
