Death Landscapes IV
This work examines the ephemeral qualities of memory and material through a series of internal landscape collages. The cyanotype relief collages are drawn from Bangalore, a city in constant flux and development, where I lived for over a decade. This series of nine works take influence from the inherent sculptural qualities of its landscapes – old houses, new apartment complexes, temples, crematoriums, factories, billboards, rock and boulder formations. These paper constructions bring together the urban and natural iconography of this city and reimagines them through the prism of a fading memory.
